I have been in contact with a PhD candidate from Clemson who is researching the impact of outdoor spaces for long-term pediatric behavioral health facilities. Below is a portion of her request:

For my dissertation, I am focusing on “inclusivity in outdoor spaces in long-term pediatric mental and behavioral health facilities.” My research explores how outdoor environments can support the diverse therapy needs, ages, and genders of pediatric patients ranging from 3 to 18 years old. Specifically, I aim to identify design requirements that enhance inclusivity and foster social interaction among patients, caregivers, and staff.
